THE KESE RITUAL

Some showers are about getting out the door. This one is about making a little room for yourself. A clean towel within reach, the sound of running water, a woven glove in your hand: a hamam-inspired moment can begin with very little.
This is a practical guide to making The Banyo Exfoliating Body Glove part of that moment. The focus is the kese step—not a longer shopping list or a full spa programme.
Start with the glove, not more products
The Exfoliating Body Glove is made from 100% plant-based tree bark yarn and woven on traditional semi-automated wooden looms. Its water-activated weave brings the tactile character of a Turkish hamam tool into your own bathroom.
Set out your glove, a clean towel and whatever you normally use to moisturize afterwards. Keep your current product directions nearby. You do not need to buy an entire new routine to make this one feel special.
Make the kese step its own moment
- Begin with warm water. Take your time in the shower or bath. Wet the glove and squeeze out excess water before using it; your skin should remain moist.
- Keep the exfoliation step soap-free. The Body Glove works with water and friction. Follow its directions with gentle, steady strokes rather than trying to make the experience more intense.
- Notice the two textures. The striped side is designed for rougher areas; the softer side is for polishing. This is a body glove, not a face tool.
- Rinse and finish. Rinse your skin, pat dry and follow with your usual moisturizer according to its directions. Hand-wash the glove after use and leave it to air dry.

A ritual should not mean pushing through discomfort. Do not scrub irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use of the product.
Once every two weeks—not every shower
For The Banyo Exfoliating Body Glove, the recommended frequency is once every two weeks. Keep the unhurried shower and the clean-towel feeling on other days; the glove does not have to be part of every one.
A small ritual you can return to
Think less bathroom makeover, more a familiar pause. Clear a spot for your towel. Put your phone aside if you want to. Let the ritual end without another thing on your list.
The woven texture is the starting point. The time you make for yourself is yours.
